First of all, thank you to Candice, Chris and their families for being so kind to me. They were so sweet and thoughtful and made me feel right at home. We began the day at Dunn Loring United Methodist Church, headed down the road to the Grand Atrium at Tyson’s Corner to celebrate and then ended up downtown trying to stay out of the rain.
We had big plans to go to the National Arboretum at the end of the day but the rain gods were not feeling that so I came up with a plan B and we spent some time in and around Union Station where the rain could not get us. As I look back at these images from the wedding day I keep stopping on the one where Candice’s father, Kevin, has his arms wrapped around her after the ceremony. He did not strike me as the most outwardly sentimental man, but he just melted when he saw daughter. These are the kinds of moments that make this so fulfilling.
